A brief but pleasant encounter at Le Comptoir des Salades at Brussels Midi
Popping for a bite to eat between journeys was never so much fun…
Brussels Zuid – or Midi – station is the Belgian Eurostar hub, and offers a smattering of standard cafés and eateries. But, if you have a little time on your hands, it’s well worth venturing outside of the main concourse, where you’ll find a pleasing selection of restaurants and bars, one shining example being Le Comptoir des Salades.
As the name suggests, on offer is a superb selection of mouthwatering salads as well as pasta dishes, omelettes, 100% beef homemade burgers and steaks.
Complimented by a great range of beers and wines, this hugely popular stop-off makes for much more than a convenient snack or a journey breaker.
Service is quick enough, even when the place is bursting at the seams, to make a relaxing meal possible even if time is limited.
Highly recommended if you want to make a quick change at Brussels into a bit of an event.
